New OS, New iPhone, New Apps WWDC 2009
What a day today, Apple has announced the new MacBook Pro line with the addition 15” and 13” together with their new Snow Leopard, OS X 10.6. While they were saying the new OS from Microsoft, Windows 7 are just as crap as Windows Vista. I from what I see here, the new Snow Leopard is nothing new at all! With this said, what’s more interesting is the announcement of the new iPhone OS 3.0 and iPhone 3GS[Speed]. The new iPhone OS 3.0 will be available for public download start June 17th [next Wednesday] and the new iPhone 3GS will be out on the shelf starting June 19th, in US, Canada, UK, France, German, etc.
Few highlights of today’s Keynote:
- iPhone OS 3.0 and new SDK
- in-store purchase
- push notification
- digital compass
- voice control
- sportlight [universal control]
- new iPhone 3GS
- longer battery life, only a bit longer see details here
- new 3 megapixel camera that supports video recording up to 30 frame per second
- claimed to have better graphic performance
With this said, the funny thing is that when they ask developers to come and do the demo, there are 2 apps failed the demo at keynote. EPIC FAILE !

They also showed the new Ads, which I thought wasn’t that well done. They made the point that it can capture video, but they’ve also showed the fact that this iPhone is nothing new comparing with the previous one.

Note: the new iPhone OS 3.0 is Jailbreakable, no panic. I will show you the details as soon as the new OS is out. If you want to save money for iPod touch owners, don’t want to get ripped off by Apple, again jailbreak will save you the money to pay for the extra OS upgrade.
